About:Chinese Embassy in Italy

I arrived to Italy to visit my italian friend for few weeks and we decided to go to visit China from Italy in february 6th.Is it possible to do a chinese touristic visa here in Rome, if i am in Europe Union?

To apply for a China visa in Italy, you are required to provide the original and a copy of permanent residence or work permit which should be valid for at least half a year (except for those who enjoy visa or permit exemption for residing or working in Italy). Or you need to apply for a visa to China in your home country.
