About:China Customs Declaration

Hi,

I am travelling to Shanghai and I'm just wondering if I was to bring a camcorder bought in US for a family friend in China, will any import tax have to be paid? If so, how much?

Do not pack it as a new one and don't declare at the custom. Bring in as your own personal thing. If you just bring one, you may aviod the custom. If you have to pay for the tax, the tax rate is 20% of its value.
