hi,i am coming to guangzhou for the first time on april 10,2011. can someone advice on where to stay and how to get there from the airport. purpose of the trip are sampling locale cusine,some sight seeing and little shopping. thanks

I think you can find Guangzhou hotel around Beijing Road or Shangxiajiu which are good shopping place. Shangxiajiu are close to Laoxiguang (Kangwang Road, Changshou Road area) which is the old city area of Guangzhou. There are many stores to find local Guangzhou food.
