About:2026 / 2027 / 2028 Public Holiday Calendar

I plan to be in Shanghai April 2 to 6. Will the tourist attractions and shopping be closed due to Qingming festival? How best can a tourist enjoy the festival? Should I expect difficulties travelling from hotel to airport?

No, both of the attractions and shopping malls are open then. Qingming festical is a traditional Chinese festival(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/essential/holidays/) of tomb sweeping, spring outings, and flying kites. I think it won't effect your transportation in the city too much.
