About:China Business Visa

Hello, i am Indian student from Lithuania and coming to shanghai as an internship student for a company for 12 months, i will apply for visa F, right ? i would like to know
1. If i need to buy single way ticket or return ticket as well while applying for visa in embassy??
2. Will i get visa for 6 months or 12 months?

You need to show return ticket to Lithuania. Otherwise, your airline company may refuse you to borad because airlines face penalties from Chinese governments if passengers are not eligible for entry to a country and they are also responsible for carrying them out again. You can check it with the airline company in advance.

No, sir, F visa is only for a period of no more than 6 months. You are required to apply for a work visa. If you will stay in China for a year, a single way ticket is ok. You can fill in the application form with 12 months stay in China, but consul is empowered to decide this visa types, visa duration and entries.

Thank you for replying. I contacted with company and they said i need to apply for visa F. The thing is that i am Indian citizen but studying in Lithuania(Europe) so i will be back in Lithuania after 1 year. So when i go to apply for visa F in embassy do i need to show return ticket to Lithuania or i can apply for visa F by single way ticket ?

Is it compulsory to buy air tickets before the application of visa F in embassy or can i only go to embassy just with itinerary ticket??

In situations where there might be some doubt you should check with your airline in advance and if they accept your situation try to get that in writing. Each airline decides its own approach to this issue so check more than one before you purchase.
