Visa is required for citizens of Canada to visit Vietnam. Canadian nationals may have 2 options: Visit Vietnam embassy in Canada (Ottawa) or apply for a visa on arrival to Vietnam from Canada online. Canadian citizens may apply for both tourist and business visa to Vietnam for the stay of 1 to 6 months from Canada.

The cost for getting a visa at Vietnam embassy in Canada is around 79 CAD or ~ 67 USD and the process may take up to 4 working days.

You also need a China visa to go to Beijing(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/beijing.htm)
