About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Hello,
I went to China Embassy today, they advised me to apply visa in Hong Kong because they only accept visa application of a minor (under 16 yrs of age), spouse and senior citizen (parents). Since my sister is my sponsor, they didn't accept my application here in Manila. My mom cannot sponsor me because of her condition. If I apply in Hong Kong immigration for more than 14 days extension (45 days), will I be granted a 2 months visa?
I have a letter from the hospital as supporting document that may help me in applying visa. Will the Hong Kong immigration consider my mom's condition? Pls. reply immediately, my flight is on Jan.14, 2011. Thank you so much.
