About:Tianjin Transportation

I wish to fly into Tianjin and visit Jinan and then Zhengzhou.
Better to travel by bus or train? I assume both train and bus stations are in the city.
Where can I purchase tickets in advance?
What do you recommend?

I advise you to take train from one city to another since it is safe and comfortable than bus. You can pruchase the tickets in advance at the train ticket outlets or train station or online.
