About:Chinese Embassy in Oman

Hi,

I am a Canadian citizen living in Oman and looking to travel to China in June 2011. I will need a double-entry visa, as I will also be visiting Mongolia and then returning to Beijing for my onward journey. I hope you can answer a few questions.

1. Will I need a special permit to travel to Kashgar or Urumqi?
2. How much is a visa?
3. How far in advance can I apply for this visa? If I am going in June when is the earliest that I can apply?
4. How long does the processing take?

Thank you.

1. You don't need a special permit to travel to Kashgar(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/kashgar.htm) or Urumqi(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/urumqi.htm)
2. It costs about US$ 30 for a single entry
3. You can apply for this visa 1 or 2 months before your entry to China. A single entry visa is only valid for 3 months, if you apply for it too early, it expires before you go to China. You can apply for visa in April if you go to China in June.
4. It takes 4 working days for visa processing.
