About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

I am a Malaysian living at the Thai border nearer to the Chinese Consulate in Songkhla.
Can i apply for the Visa entry to China at the Consulate and what is the fees like?

You'd better apply for China visa in Malaysia, your application to China consulate in Songkhla maybe denied because you are not a resident in Thailand.
