About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Hi,
I will be travelling around the world from March and will not arrive in China for 9 months from the date of leaving. Is it possible to get a Chinese Visa in south east asia. Either a normal visa or as a last resort a transit visa. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no simple answer to your question, I can only say that you can try to apply for China visa in every country in Southeast Asia you will visit. Some embassies/consulates may refuse to issue you a China visa because you doesn't work or reside in the country. Generally speaking, for application in a third country, the residence permit or work permit is required by China embassy/consulate to prove your legal status in the country.
