About:China Visa on Arrival

we are planning to visit shenzhen (for 1 day only, sightseeing/shopping) from Hongkong, is it possible for us to apply for a visa on arrival from lo wu port? considering we've never been to china before. i have tried to cal the china embassy here in the philippines but no luck, i cant get thru them.

if we join the shenzhen tour (offered by travel agencies), do we still need to apply for a visa?

thanks

You are exempted from applying for a visa if you join tourist group at Hong Kong organized by registered travel agencies in Hong Kong to visit the Pearl River Delta region (Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Zhaoqing, Huzhou Municipalities) for tourism and stay up to 6 days. Otherwise, you need apply for a visa in advance.
