About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

I am Sri Lankan businessman at present staying in India. I have to travel to China to inspect a ship for purchase. Do I need a visa before departure or can I get via on arrival in China. The Company in China will issue me a letterfor this purpose.

Yes, you need to apply for a China visa in advance. But you may need to apply in your home country, Because the valid Indian visas or valid Residence Permits in India is required if you want to apply there.
