About:Chinese Embassy in Jordan

I am a jordanian citizen and i live at USA now can i do a visa for china from the US , if yes how can i do it?

Non-US citizens who want to apply visa in US need provide the original and a photocopy of certificates for permit for residence, work, study or valid US visa. If not, you need to apply for China visa in Jordan.

I plan to come in September, but leave Australia in march. It sounds like I can't get a visa before I go then as it would have expired.
