About:Chinese Embassy in UAE

I am Filipino with more than 6 months valid UAE residence visa and I'm planning to travel to Beijing on March. However, i purchased roundtrip ticket departing from Manila to Beijing, since my itinerary will be DXB-MNL-PEK, then fly back to DXB. Is it okay to apply Tourist Visa in China Consulate in Dubai?

Further, does it require an invitation from a relative/friend who's living in China? or does a confirmed hotel booking required in absence of invitation? Any other requirements?

Yes, it is ok to apply for a China visa in Dubai. For your question No.2, I have to say that it depends, invitation letter is needed when visa officers deem necessary. Hotel reservatioon and return air-ticket are required.
