About:China Visa Application in UK

HI,
In the application for a tourist 3 or 6 month visa it requests a date of arrival in China. Does this mean that you have to book your flight prior to applying for the visa?

As UK citizens we will be applying for the China visa on our next visit to Scotland.

Regards
Alan

not necessary, you can just estimate a date you will enter China, and book air ticket when your visa is approved by Chinese embassy.
