About:Embassy & Consulates of Philippines in China

Good Day!

My wife already have a Z visa. Her employer in China doesnt know the requirements and procedures needed to get her employement contract to be authenticated by the Phil. consul in China. She cannot get her Overseas Employement Certificate (OEC) from POEA because she lacks the Authenticated Employement Contract. What are the requirements and procedures for this? The Immigration here in the Philippines did not allow her to go to China without the OEC. Please help. Thanx.

How come nobody from the Chinese Embassy here in Manila ever mentioned to your wife? It only says on their lis- Employment contract, no mention of authenticated by the Phil. Embassy in China or here in the Phil. This is all fresh to me because I've been to the Chinese Embassy here in Manila and nobody mentioned. Only when I called up DOLE and someone from OWWA explained them to me. This should constantly reminded to all applicants and all companies in China. This is the only protection we can hold onto if anything goes wrong. Even my supposed to be employer in Shanghai (a big company) is not aware or they pretend not to know. Me and my husband's processing did not push through because of some miscommunication, good thing I was always doing a follow up on my contract, still without the authentication from Phil. Embassy though. However, only one month termination payment was paid, it could have been the whole contract only if it was authenticated. Let this be a reminder to all Filipinos to be aware of the legal processing, especially if direct hire. All the best to you and your wife.
