About:Qin Dynasty

Did the doctors give Qin Shihuang the "immortality" pills with mercury on purpose? Or they just didn't know Mercury is dangerous back then? Also, how old was the emperor when the dynasty starts?

I thought the doctors were on purpose. Qinshihuang was only 12 years old.

Qin Shihuang inheritted the king of the Qin states at his 13 years old, at his 39 years old he unified china,established Qin empire(Qin dynasty).
