About:Guangzhou Travel Guide

We plan on being in the Guangzhou area for a couple of weeks. Other than the city itself, any suggestions for sites to see in the outlying area? Possibly smaller places that would be interesting to spend a few nights?

Do you mean the surrounding cities in Guangzhou? I think you may try dongguan, foshan, Zhanjiang, Shantou, Zhongshan, etc. You may know more smaller cities around Guangzhou from Guangdong Travel Guide(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/guangdong/).
