About:China Train

I heard that passengers could get on the train in advance before the ticket checking time just by paying some money during the peak time, is it true?

According to my experience, this kind of situation may be available in some small stations. And the passengers paying some money could wait for the train in the VIP room which is easier to reach the platform as there are less people. So, passengers could save some time in such case due to no need to stand in a longer queen in the common waiting room to check the tickets.
