About:Taiwan Weather

I plan to go Taiwan by end of August 2011, but I heard that the potential of typhoon is higher on that month. Any idea about this?

Yes, June to October is the typhoon season in Taiwan, with July to September offering the most activities to experience. Thus, you need to beware about it. Better pay attention to the weather forecast and not go outside in typhoon day.
