Kunming belongs to a low-latitude monsoon climate, does not have bitter cold in winter or extreme heat in summer. Thus it is a comparatively a hill station. Temperature in Feb is about 4~17C, you may feel a little cold.  weather in Guangzhou(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/climate/guangzhou.htm) during Feb is cool and comfortable with a temperature of about 12~19C.
