Hi, my whole family are planning to go China on April 2010. We are staying in sabah, can we apply through any application service center in Sabah instead of flying over to kl? We didn't see any Chinese Visa Application Service Center here.if we apply now can it valid till may 2010?

There is not Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Sabah, you can submit visa application to China Consulate in Kuching which covers the consular jurisdiction of Sabah. If you apply now, it can't be valid till May 2010. A single entry visa is only valid for 3 months, Please apply for a visa about one month in advance of your intended date of entry into China, and do not apply three months earlier than your intended date of entry into China.
