About:China Tourist Visa

Hi I have a friend who offered to let me stay in his place for my
visit in China. What are the requirements that he needs to provide
so that I can attached it in my application for a tourist visa to exempt me
from providing hotel booking confirmation. I am from Davao, I understand I need to
stay in Cebu to apply in Chinese Embassy there. Do I need to make scheduled interview
like in US embassy or do I just fall in line along with my documents with me and wait for my turn. Thank u in advance.

If your friend from China will provide accommodation for you, then, you need from him/her an invitation letter with a copy of the inviter's valid chinese residence visa and passport information page of inviter's or Chinese national identity card.
You may come to the Consular office of the consulate in Cebu to submit the application, or you may send someone else or a travel agent to act on your behalf if you cannot come personally. Mailed applications are not acceptable and will be refused. No appointment is required, and the interview is required only when the consular deems necessary.
