About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Dear Sir/Madam,

Example I have a work visa (Z-visa) say for one year to work in China. Then I return to Singapore for holiday, then when I go back to China, do I need to apply for a visa (don't know which type if needed to) because I understand work visa is only a single entry with no duration of stay in China (for my case is in China).

Thank you.

Yes, China Work visa is only for single entry with duration of OOO. Holders need to change their work visa into a residence permit within 30 days after entry at local PSB where they work. The residence permit will state the duration for one year with multi entries. You can enter and exit China for many times and any time before it expires.
