About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

I am currently working for a language school in China and have a resident permit but I am breaking my contract and starting a new job in February. My current employer said they will not let me transfer my work permit and are going to cancel my visa at the end of January. Am I going to have to leave China and come back or will it be possible for me to arange a new resident permit to start before the old one ends? Thans for your help!

You can not arrange a new residence permit before the old one ends. Because it will be based on your work contract with your new employer and your Foreign Experts book with a new stamp on it. If you get these done, you may not need to leave China, go to HK for a new work visa processing or try to apply for a new work visa in China through a powerful visa agency, and of course you need to pay much money for their service.
