About:China Great Wall

Which part of the Great Wall is better, Badaling or Mutianyu?

I want to visit the Great Wall of China with my son (7 years old). Which part is better, Badaling or Mutianyu? Which is closer to downtown Beijing and which has more beautiful scenery? Thanks very much in advance.

Their linear distances to downtown Beijing are no much difference, but it is more convenient to reach Badaling than Mutianyu from Beijing urban area. It is winter time and no beautiful natural scenery, only great Walls. I think Badaling is better since you will travel with kiddo. Good luck:)
