About:China Visa Fees

My Residence visa will expire December 31. I have booked my plane ticket back to the Phils two days later which is Jan 2, hoping that I could get a hotel in HK or Macau. But unfortunately I have found out that almost all of the hotels are fully booked and what's left are way beyond that I can afford.

So literally I will be overstaying in China by 2 days.

Will it be better to go to PSB office and ask for reprieve or just cross the border on Sunday?

I went to the PSB in Di Wang Da Sha, they advised me to exit thru either in HK or Macau. Of course they would not let me extend it or be given a reprieve.

I went for a business meeting and back home very late in the evening and decided to stay over for two nights.

I guess I will be held when I cross the border on Sunday. I have to make it early to make some allowance to be able to catch my flight in HKIA.

You'd better go to PSB office to ask for reprieve, maybe you won't be fined, please cooperate with the police, apologize for your fault.

You can also cross the border on Sunday directly, 2 days overstay is not a big problem.
