Dear Ms.koolaloo,
The Ming dynasty used slaked lime and sticky rice paste as a mortar and rock (soon to be bricks)
Mostly all dynasties used stone and wood with rammed earh(dirt and and other put between two poles and pushed possess repeated until full, then poles taken away and used for a new section). All thats left of the great wall of china is 1/3.
