I'm a 73 yr. old Frenchman living in China for these last 20 years under a student visa. I may be able to procure a working visa Z. Are there any age limitations for older candidates such as myself?

Really? you are living in China for 20 years on a student visa? How about your visa now? is it valid or you have to renew it every year?

Dear Mr. Alvin, Since 1990 my university and the police have issued me visas ranging from 1 to 3 years. My current visa will be valid until 31/12/11. Afterwards, because of my advanced age, I shan't be eligible for a student visa. I live in Kunming, Yunnan Province.
All the best, Noël

You can't apply for China work visa Z because you are 73 years old. The work visa is issued to applicants who are not older than 60 years
