About:Harbin Travel

Hi. I am planning to visit Harbin right before Chinese New Year, arriving at Harbin on Jan 29 and leaving on Feb 02 2011. Would this be a good time to visit Harbin?

My itinenary includes visiting Zhaolin Park (1st day), Harbin Sun Island Scenic Area and the International Snow sculpture Art Expo (2nd day) and either polarland/siberian tiger (3rd day).

Appreciate it if you could provide some suggestions on the itinenary and advise on the travel dates. Many thanks.

The time is OK for you to visit Harbin, but Harbin weather(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/climate/harbin.htm) will be very cold during that time. You need to pack more warm clothes, like down jackets, over coats, fur coats and boots. Hats, gloves and scarf are also needed.
Your itinerary is OK, well, you can also look at the packages of Harbin Tours(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/package/harbin.htm) which includes some wonderful travel routes.

Thanks for the feedback. My concerns are mostly on the travel period as it is during CNY and I am afraid that most of the shops/tourist attractions will be closed. Will that be the case?
