About:China Civil Aviation - Regulations & Security Check

Hello,

I will fly from Taiwan to Shanghai to Milan. I will be carrying some used airplane modeling spare parts, namely 2 gas engines, one gas turbine, one small electric motor and some hardware. The items will be fully cleansed of any residual fuel and will be boxed for protection and stoved in the hand luggage suitcases. I will also be carrying 2x 55 W/hour and 6 smaller 5 W/hour lithium polymer batteries, hand luggage as well.

Am I to expect trouble regarding any of these items?

Thanks

You have to make a declaration before boarding the plane. Meanwhile, you may not take them as hand luggage, I think. Do contact the air company to confirm this ahead of your trip.

As far as I know li-poly batteries may ONLY be carried on an airliner as hand luggage, provided that their capacity does not exceed a given amount, I think about 60 W/hour each.
About engines I asked security employees in 3 different countries and they all said it should be no problem. On what basis are you suggesting they may not be taken as hand luggage?

Thank you.
