Han Dynasty made significant achievements in technology, astronomer Zhang Heng invented the first seismograph in the world, Cai Lun made paper using vegetable fiber, and Sima Qian edited the first chronicle 'Historical Records'. In the Han Dynasty, Buddhism was introduced into China. In the eastern Han Dynasty, Taoism also formed which was divided into Taiping taoiam and Tianshi Taoism.
