About:China Visa

Hi!
I got the result of my request for China Visa today. Unfortunately they gave me only 7days :(. I will leave on the 23rd of Dec here in the Philippines for Shanghai and be going to Beijing on the 26th to 28th, and be back to shanghai on the 28th then to Philippines on Jan 2. Embassy here said i should apply the extension of Visa to Shanghai. Would anyone please help how can I do that? and where? and how about my trip to beijing w/o my passport? if I apply on the 24th dec for the extension will I get the result the same day? where will I go? is it opne 24/7? This will be my first time in china, and ill be spending my xmas and new yr there.. but now im screwed. :( Can somebody help me, please...

What you need to do is apply on the 24th at the local psb in pudong shanghai it is in minsheng road just walking distance from shanghai science and technology metro line 2. it takes 7 days to process the new visa. you will be given a receipt/claim stub. normally you wont need passports to travel domestically to beijing, but if you cant secure a new visa u need to get a new ticket w/c is about 13k

yes, you can apply for visa extension at the Exit & Enter Deparment under Shanghai Public Security Bureau on 29th December, 2010 when you go back to Shanghai from Beijing(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/beijing.htm) 29th December is the seventh day of your stay in China, you can apply for rush service, then you can get your new visa on the same day, in fact, if you can't get it on the same day, it doesn't matter, the Exit & Enter Department will give your a Receipt Certificate when your visa is processed, you can use it to travel in Shanghai, check in Hotel.
