About:Emperor Qin Shi Huang

im doing a project on him i need to know why he thought mercury can bring him immortality I NEED SOMEONE WHO KNOWS no books please

Mercury did not bring him immortality in his life but in his afterlife, for it can protect the body from rotting.
As you have mentioned, he did want to keep mercury in his life by finding out the elixirs, but failed.
