hi i working in china since 4 years with z type visa and now willing to get married with a chinese girlfriend in nextyear in dongguan guangdong province.but i dont know what documents needed for the marriage license certificate or what ever.will u pls letme know?also where i can apply for ths.how long is the procedure and also validity for the certificate which i will be getting from china ?is the procedure same in india also coz i want to apply in india also for my girlfriend pls adivse asap

You need to go to a local Notary Office in India to apply for Single Status Certificate, then go to India Foreign Affairs Ministry to apply for authentication of the Single Status certificate, at last go to China embassy/consulate in India to apply for authentication. The certificate is only valid for 6 months. When you make marriage registration in Dongguan, please take your valid passport, Chinese visa, the Single Status Certificate, your Chinese girlfriend needs to take her ID card, household registration sheet.
