About:History of China

China was during the course of history very successful, but during the 1700 - century Europa started to surpass them, right? Why?

Because the ruling class were unwilling to accept new ideas. While the western world began to enter industrial age, China was still in feudal age and was closed door to the outside world. The rulers thought China is the greatest in the world and no need to learn from others.
