Question

I have recently taken a job in China teaching english, but it does not start until late Feb2011. After i have sent them all the documents they need from me for the visa, i want to spend some time in Hong Kong before my job starts, because my girlfriend lives there. If my visa for China is granted when im already in Hong Kong, will it be activated when i decide go to the mainland? Or do i need to leave and come back. Thanks.

Where do you apply for visa to China? It is ok if you will enter mainland China from Hong Kong with a China visa on your passport.
