About:Nanning Travel

I'm thinking of going to Nanning for a couple of days in January 2011.
Is it possible to get there from Hong Kong around the 21st of January and go to Guangzhou on the 25th?
I know Chinese new year is coming, but some say it is 100% impossible to travel, others say it is just a lot more crowded.

Yes, the Chinese New Year is coming, but it is OK for you to travel from HK to Guangzhou. It is a little crowed during that time and may be a little hard to get train or flight tickets. You need to book your transportation ticket in advance.
