Why was he buried with his terracotta warriors?

To bury a person or things along with the deceased is a tradition in old Chinese funerals. There are strict principles of funeral. The replicas of soldiers, chariots and weapons buried with qinshihuang (I think you mean him) is meant to show his achievement as a great emperor who conquered other states and united the nation. Hope it make sense anyway.
