Indians who would like to stay for more than 14 days in Hong Kong, visa is required. And the application should be submitted directly to Hong Kong Immigration Department or through the Chinese Embassy/Consulate in India. Processing of such applications may take 4-6 weeks.

To apply for visit visa, the following documents should be provided to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate-General:

(a) Photocopy of passport details and 1 Hong Kong visa application form with 2 photographs.

(b) Supporting documents like financial standing, employment or business certificates, may be required.

(c) For business purpose, covering letter from the applicant's company or organization and invitation letter from the company, trade fair or international conference in Hong Kong.

(d) For tourist purpose, tourism itinerary and accommodation arrangement in Hong Kong; Personal particulars of relatives or sponsors including names, addresses and telephone numbers.
