About:Kunming Travel Tips

On your page you mention Internet bars. Last year when I visited Kunming I had no problem using the local Internet bars. However, when I visited this August, most Internet bars said they could not allow foreigners to use them. What is the situation right now?

Oh，people now need to use their ID card to use the internet in the Internet bars. So, this is a problem for foreigners. You may try to borrow local people's ID card, in fact it is not allowed too. Some small internet bars may still allow you to enter, but perhaps hard for you to find one. Some cities, such as Beijing, allow foreigner to use internet bars with register. Show your ID certificate and leave a record. Have no idea about the related regulation now in Kunming.
