About:Bao'en Temple Pagoda

Hello,

I'm from Brazil and I am working in China since July. In Dec 18th I will go home for vacation until Jan 28th. During this time, I am going to get married and my idea is to bring my wife to China with me. I already try so many different sources but yet couldn't get a clear information. What do I have to do? What kind of visa does she need?

Regards,

Diego

Your should first get a Marriage License, then apply for notarization from Brazil Foreign Affairs Ministry or its authorized office, then go to China embassy/consulate to apply for authentication. You also need to provide photocopy of your passport and Chinese residence permit. Your wife prepares her passport, one passport photo and fill one visa application form of China, then bring all the documents to China embassy/consulate in Brazil to apply for Dependent Visa.

If she comes to China with tourist visa, she can only apply extension of tourist visa twice, 30 days stay duration each time, she can stay in China for 90 days at most in total. You'd better help her to get a Work Visa as dependent (commonly called Dependent Visa), then change it into a Residence Permit at the local police station after entry.
