About:China Visa

I am a Filipino by birth with a U.S passport spending my retirement years between the U.S.A. and the Philippines. I have full health insurance coverage in the USA with emergency care coverage in other countries. Do I still need health insurance for an
8 days travel/visit in Shanghai ?
My travel companion is 76 years Filipno citizen who has U.S. visa and has traveled to
Singapore last September/10. Also inquiring about his need for separate insurance coverage ?

I am afraid you both emergency care coverage to China, even you will only stay for 8 days.
