What's the best way to get to the airport from Jiniantang early in the morning (6:30am)? Thanks.

You can take the subway line 2 from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/guangdong/guangzhou/sun.htm) (Jinaintang) to Yuexiu Park station. Then walk to Dongfang Hotel to take the airport shuttle bus line 5 to the airport.
Or you could get a taxi to Jinhan Exhibition center to take the airport shuttle bus.
