You should wear as warm as possible here. Of course, it is cheaper and better to purchase winter clothes in China. So, before leaving from Singapore, you'd better take a warm sweater or overcoat, may be a pair of boots in case of the cold air at Airport. Then, once arrive in downtown Harbin, you will have ideas on what kind of ncessary winter clothes to purchase.
