About:Guangzhou Metro

Is it the case that I can now take the subway from Guangzhou East Station to the Baiyun Airport ? If a travelling with luggage will there be a problem getting on to the trains ?

Yes, you can take Guangzhou subway line 3(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/guangdong/guangzhou/subway/line3.htm) from Guangzhou East Railway Station to the airport south. There is no problem to travel with luggage on the train.
