Hi,
I will be heading to Hong Kong end of this year for countdown. May I know where will be the most happening place during countdown?
Will the shops be open on 1st Jan 2011?
Do they usually have sales during end year?
Thanks!

You could go to the Times Square in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/hongkong/island/causeway_bay.htm) for countdown. Last year, there are also celebrations in Central. Please pay attention to the latest news from HK Government for this year's celebration.

Yes, the shops will be open all the same. Actually, it is the cut-rate time around every Christmas and New Year's Day. FYI: Hong Kong Shopping(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hongkong/shopping.htm) . Good luck~
