About:K Trains

Hi,

Six of us are planning a trip to Kuming, Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-La from 28Dec to 4Jan10. Can you advise the number of days to spend in these places of interest and any recommendation in terms of accomodations and scenic attractions.

We do not intend to join any tour package as we prefer scenic attraction then temple.

You will have a full week in Yunnan. I think you could spend two days in Kunming, one day in Dali(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/dali.htm) and the rest days in Lijiang(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/lijiang.htm) and Shangri-la(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/yunnan/shangri-la/). During these days, you could see the essence of each place following the traditional Yunnan Tours(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/tour/yunnan/)

In Kunming and Dali, these hotels close to scenicn spot or in city center should be good choice. As for Lijiang, highly recommend you stay in the Old Town.

It is so nice to hear that you will come to Yunnan Province to visit! Welcome!

As for your trip,depend on what you are most interesting.most of our clients spend one full day in Kunming area, 1night and 1 half day in Dali,1 night in Shaxi,two nights in Lijiang,one night in Tiger Leaping Gorge,other nights in shangri-La or rural villages.During winter time is kind of cold in Shangri-La.
