About:Hong Kong Travel

We will be visiting Hong Kong for the 1st time. Is it best to take public or private car transfer for airport to hotel and back?

You'd better take the public bus or subway to your hotel for the private car tranfer is very expensive. I don't think you will have problems to get around Hong Kong evern if you come for the first time. Language is not a problem and public traffic in HK is convenient.
